Environmental worldviews play a role in the causes
of environmental problems, and in how serious they
get, because people with different environmental
worldviews often disagree about the seriousness of environmental
problems and what we should do about
them (Concept 1-5B). For example, in an area where
water pollution is not recognized by most people as an
issue, it will likely grow to be a serious problem.
